Walk With Christ

Grow in Prayer

Growing in your relationship with God by daily walking with Christ.
WALK WITH CHRIST

Step 6 - Grow in Prayer

Prayer

Prayer is one of the identifying factors of God's children. We know that we can call out to him and he will hear us. More, we know that God is the one who answers our prayers. In Psalm 18:6 David says, “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” (NIV), Here the word for David’s outcry is shava, which carries the idea of a high-pitched cry for help. David assures us, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.” Psalm 34:15 (NIV)

As we grow in our discipleship walk with the Lord, prayer becomes more important to us. Do you trust God enough to ask him for what you need? Remember, he answers our prayers!

"Our God is a God who hears and answers prayer! Prayer-hearing is one of his attributes, a part of his nature. He inspired the psalmist to call him “O you who hear prayer” (Ps. 65:2). He selected that title for himself and delights to be called the God who hears and the God who answers prayer." -- John R. Rice

Sign up for our weekly prayer update emails so you can pray for the need in our church. And if you have a prayer request to share with our church, please use the link below to let us know how we can pray for you!

Building & Grounds

Our building committee is always looking for volunteers to help with projects in and around our building and grounds. If you have some time to give and would like to help with yard maintenance or building maintenance, please contact Devin Doring, Chairman of our Deacon Board.

Meals Ministry

Periodically we have a need to provide meals for those in our church who are ill, recovering or who have just had a baby. We send out what is called a Meal Train.  You can go to Mealtrain.com to learn more about how that works.  If you are on our church e-mail list, you will automatically be notified when a meal train has been started.  Contact the church office if you would be willing to be added to a list of people to call for an emergency meal.

Children's Ministry

We have a very active and growing Children’s Ministry here at Bethany Baptist! We can always use more hands to help in the Nursery, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Bethany Moms, Moms Connection (for Mom’s with Elementary kids) Upward Sports and AWANA. All of our children’s workers must fill out a Temporary Volunteer Staff Application and pass a criminal/sexual background check.
