Bethany Leadership Course Description:
Leadership matters. Good leadership enables the church to grow, while bad leadership (or no leadership) stifles growth. Leadership is both a gift from God and a skill that can be developed. At Bethany, we want to take seriously the importance of leadership for God’s church and our ministry effectiveness. This year I’d like you to consider a unique opportunity to grow in your relationship with God and develop your leadership skills.
- We will meet on Tuesday nights from 7-8:30 pm in three eight-week sessions: Oct/Nov; Jan/Feb; and Mar/Apr.
- Each week will include a lecture on some aspect of biblical leadership, with an outline to fill in.
- Each week you are expected to read 50-60 pages in assigned reading and take part in group discussion of what was read.
- Each week you will memorize a verse and quote it correctly in class.
- Each person will be accountable for regular Bible reading, prayer, and greeting new people at church.
